RUBEN STUDDARD GET KICKED OFF THE BIGGEST LOSER

Unfortunately Ruben Studdard can’t say he a loser. As in “Biggest Loser.”Yep, the fan-favorite is done. This week he was sent packing from the NBC show. It’s a sad turn of events because for the first 4 weeks Studdard put in a lot of hard work and proved to be charming tpo his fellow players. But the bottom line is that when he stepped on the scale this week, he learned he didn’t lose enough. Following a couple of less-than-impressive losses from his red teammates, Ruben failed to drop the 11 pounds it would have taken to save his team. With a loss of just 5 pounds, he didn’t even drop enough to save himself when it came to the dreaded red line. Ruben Studdard on Biggest Loser “I worked really, really hard this week,” he said while still standing on the scale. “I swam extra. I walked extra.” His trainer, Dolvett Quince, agreed, telling him, “Everything I asked you to do, you did it.” But it wasn’t enough. “This experience is one of the toughest things I’ve been through,” Ruben admitted. “I’ve been through two-a-day football practices; I’ve been through the ‘American Idol’ experience; I’ve been through a lot of mentally and physically challenging experiences in my life. And this, you know, ranks right up there at the top.” At the end of the day, Ruben may not have have reached his weight goal, but he got what he came for, he says.

24-yr-old Man Shot Dead In St. James

24-year-old Romaine Baker was shot and killed by unknown assailants in Adelphi, St. James last night. Baker was at home sometime after 2 pm, when three armed men kicked down the door to his house before he was held and shot twice in the head. He died on the spot. A motive for the fatal shooting is unclear.
